flickr evolves

Rebel_growth I've discussed flickr's use of EXIF data before. At the time it was limited to Nikon but, they've recently expanded it and provided an interface that allows you to view photos by camera type ... along with historical data to illustrate trends.

Take the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi for example [pictured above]. It's experiencing a hockey-stick-like growth chart because of the popularity of Canon's entry-level DSLR that launched and replaced the Rebel XT just two months ago. It's very interesting to note that the majority of pictures uploaded to flickr fall into the DSLR category of cameras. If you're looking for a new camera and want to see examples of what the camera can do by talented photographers, look no further...another reason why flickr rocks.
