Dogballs on Wikipedia

The most often question asked about the Dogballs Blog is, "Why is it called Dogballs?" Well, aside from the definition in the masthead above, I can point people to the official wikipedia entry or the wiktionary entry.

Saying "Dogballs" reminds us to not take life so seriously... remember that even in the face of heart-ache, always look for the bright-side and keep things in perspective. Be thankful for all your blessings. For me, Golf is the perfect analogy to illustrate that point. When you're out on the links with friends, life is good...even when your round is going to sh!t (and you have to post that dreaded Dogballs) you have to smile, remind yourself that you're out having fun and look forward to the next hole...unless of course you just triple-boggied the 18th and in that case...you've got that  single-malt whiskey or ice-cold beer waiting for you at the 19th. Enjoy!

3/12 UPDATE: The discussion is heating up on Wikipedia over whether or not Dogballs deserves a spot on the Wiki. However (good news) I've successfully managed to avoid the heat (so far) on Wiktionary. There, it seems, Dogballs is appreciated. :)

For the guys (would women bother to argue about the merits of Dogballs on a free website?) on Wikipedia, I think debate on the site is little light ever since the Tom Delay issue blew up ... it looks like they're just trying to keep their ninja skills on the ready!
